Overwhelming... and Awkward

Hello again! I haven't posted a new post in quite some time! Going to school and trying to post everyday can be very difficult, especially during midterms. Therefore, I decided I would narrow my posts to once a week, because posting everyday got hectic. SO.. To kick this off, I've found an interesting article I wanted to share and comment. Enjoy.

Today, I came across a very intriguing article from Fashionista.com. I'm sure many have read it and if you haven't you should definitely read it! I don't think there has ever been a designer that has requested their models to be naked, except of course, Milliner.  Robyn Coles Milliner  had the most amazing, daring, confusing, shocking, indescribable runway show this year in London Fashion Week. What better way to show case and grab attention to your lovely hats then having COMPLETELY naked models wear them on the runway. I wonder, how awkward it must have been to see this fashion show live!

"I hope that people who look at the show like the light-hearted choice of nudity,
appreciate the different forms of the human body and above all – like my work"
                                       - Robyn Coles Milliner

This fashion show can be very debatable, I think the entire visual concept is beautiful and clean. However, I do believe that naked models on the runway can be distracting and it doesn't exactly draw me to the intended design. Actually,  it IS distracting! Especially when there's a naked pregnant model (completely threw me off).  I'm just confused to the message he is trying to send. Is he just being outrageous and just wants to grab the media's attention? Because at first look, not once did I stop and looked at the hats (I'm pretty sure you didn't notice those hats either lol). I had to visit his website, so I can actually see the hats.  Le sigh... only in Europe..

I want to know what YOU guys think! Is this too much or provocative? Do you think naked models over shadow the hats??!

Fashionably Thankful

Day 10:

I made it through my exam! I guess that's something to be thankful about. haha I went to Disneyland after school where my friend and I found $1.25 cents on the floor, which I'm also thankful for.  =D

It's also the time of the year for New York's Fashion Week! Today, we had BCBG Max Azria Fall 2012 collection. Color blocking and very lose- flowy silhouettes seemed to be the trend on this collection. Below are my favorite pieces from the collection.

Love, Enjoy.

Beautiful and Thankful

Day 9:

Although it was a day full of studying, I am thankful for my memory. I don't know what I would do without it!

I love Chanel's short videos on YouTube. I find them inspiring, peaceful and full of beauty.

Inspired and Thankful

Day 8:

Today was a rough day, I'm currently stressing and freaking out because of my mid-term. However, I told myself I was going to look for something to give thanks everyday, so here it is!
I am thankful for all the inspiration and motivation I got from the IFB Conference today. It's so important that we look for inspiration that motivates us everyday to keep pushing forward. Sometimes we need to look for that motivation to give us drive, it doesn't always come naturally.

In the panel was Wendy from Wendy's Lookbook., she is absolutely amazing! Her blogging style sure is different and unique. She also has a YouTube channel, which I've already fallen in love with, check it out (here).  Hope you enjoy this video of her and go check out the rest of her videos, they're worth watching!

Love, Enjoy .

Event of Thankfulness

Day 7:

Today is a quick one, but important. I am thankful my professor moved our essay's due date to next Tuesday. This gives me extra time to study for my accounting mid-term on Friday! Life is Good. =)

I thought I would share some interesting events you can check out this month if you're in the LA area. State of Unique StartingBloc 2012 LA Launch Party, Shades of Elegance Fashion Show, and Notte Della Moda Fashion Show (which by the way is hosted by the school I go to)! Have fun! =D

Love, Enjoy.

Day 6. Sweet and Thankful

Day 6:

I am so thankful for my sisters! They sure know how to make my days a whole lot more interesting. My younger sister won third place at the science fair and my other sister in nominated for Princess at her high-school! What a beautiful day it was, so I decided to share this delicious video.

Happy Monday!

I love to indulge on sweet desserts, so when I saw this video for Louis Vuitton Spring Ad Campaign it made me want to bake pretty pink cupcakes!! What a tasty way to advertise Louis Vuitton!!

Love, Enjoy.

Day 5: Thankful Post

Day 5:

This was such a crazy week, thank goodness tomorrow is Monday!
Today I'm thankful that I got to sleep in! Although, I'm still really exhausted.

So on to today, Jason Wu for Target finally hit stores and it was Superbowl Sunday!
I hope you were all cheering for the winning team, the Giants.
I'm not a sports fan, but I sure did watch the commercials and that Madonna performance.
She looked stunning wearing that Givenchy dress, Philip Treacy headpiece, and Bvlgari jewlery!

I think the Samsung commercial was my favorite. It sure made me sing along to the song ,"I Believe in a Thing Call Love".
It was so good that I had the song in my head for the rest of the day! haha

What did you think about Madonna's performance? What was your favorite commercial? And, did anyone hit Target for the Jason Wu collection?

Love, Enjoy.
